Immunization Question

Question: why is it that so many articles I read about vaccines say

"sometimes, they get multiple immunizations in one visit" 

when the CDC Immunization schedule has on average 5 immunizations scheduled for each well child visit through year one? 

When is it that my baby supposed to be getting one shot per visit (other than birth and month 1)?
