XP: HCG slowly dropping..

I went to my Dr today to talk to her about my quant hcg results. I've done a series of 3 so far and apparently they are dropping slowly (last wed- 21k, last fri-19k and today 11k). She said it's a good sign that they're slowly dropping instead of rapidly. Has anyone had a similar experience?

Right now it's just a "threatened miscarriage" since my cervix is still closed but she is also worried I may be retaining some and getting an infection. I go to the OB for an ultrasound tomorrow but I'm just wondering if anyone had an experience similar to this. TIA!
