How well does your LO swim?

Now that it's summer it's finally pool time!  Our DD LOVES the water, has no fear and is very independent.   She does not want to be contained or to be held in the water.  She wears the below flotation and swims around the pool on her own.  We've gotten "some looks" for allowing her to swim by herself (of course we are only a few inches away).  She can put her head underwater and hold her breath....she very rarely swallows water.  She also loves jumping off the side of the pool into water...we hold her hands and pulls her forward when she jumps because of scared she'll hit her head!

The reason I ask about other kids her age and their swimming ability is because we have gotten those strange looks like we're letting our LO be too independent in the pool.
