Baby poop

Is there any kind of poop "schedule"? My son(7 weeks) goes every 2-3 days. He fusses while pushing and it seems like he could fill two diapers. He gets breast milk and formula. I asked his doctor and she told me that babies absorb just about all of the breast milk so if you ebf then he could go a week without pooping. She didn't seem to be concerned that he strains a little when he finally does poop. Am I just being an over concerned first mom or is there something I'm missing?? Thoughts?
