Breathable Bumpers and Pulling Up

We have the breathable bumpers in our crib but LO is getting really close to pulling up on her own. I know you are suppose to take bumpers down when they can pull up but is that for regular bumpers? Her bumpers tend to sink down some when she puts her legs on them. I would like to keep them up, after we lower the crib of course, just because she does tend to sleep with her face near the bars and she also strokes the bumper when she is going to sleep. Obviously if it is just too much of a hazard they are coming down I'm just wondering if anyone has had a baby actually try and successfully climb on breathable bumpers when they aren't as firm as regular ones.
