Baby staying awake?

My two week old baby has been staying awake a lot! I get him up at 9am with me and go through the usual motions (feeding, diaper changing, etc) and he will go through the two hour cycle but he stays awake until after noon! He'll sleep two or so hours then is back up until about 8pm. It's hard to entertain a newborn that long!

Is this just me?
