Birthday invites - NBSR

We have having a birthday party for DD on Sunday, July 7th and I'm wondering when to send out the invites. I would normally do it at about 2 weeks out, but with it being the weekend after 4th of July I assume people may be making other plans as well. Would it be ok to send them earlier due to the holiday? How far out?

Just trying to give people the heads up as they may get invites to BBQ's and such for that weekend too.
