Pampers and Bounty DuraTowel Points Didn't Work

I just tried to earn the 300 points by purchasing Pampers Swaddlers and Bounty DuraTowels together as outlined on the Gifts to Grow site but the reward code did not print on the receipt.  I verified it was a participating retailer listed on the PDF retailer list (Kroger in Sandy Springs, Georgia).  I went to customer service at the store but the person at the counter did not know why the reward code did not print on my receipt. 

A bit frustrating since I went to Kroger just for this purpose.  Has anyone else had any success with earning these points?
