No Close family or friends

I have a very complicated situation, starting with the fact that I am a military spouse, who had been separated, but am making amends with my husband after learning of the pregnancy. Being military, we have recently moved away from almost all friends and family. While I understand that the etiquette for showers is to not plan it as the mother-to-be, I would still like to have my family come to celebrate my child before instead of after I give birth. I am 4 months and do not have clearance from my dr to travel, I have been high risk the entire time. So my only option is to have them come here. I think it would be to much to ask them to also do a shower, so should I just tell them that it is just a family reunion? Because the only thing that matters to me is having family and friends close, even if for just a lil while.
