XP - I have a baby shower to plan...

...and don't know where to start. My little sister is preggers and due on my LO's birthday!  (Nov of this year)   So fun....(and it'll work out PERFECTLY if she had a boy, because she'll have lots of clothes...)

But ive never planned a baby shower before and dont know where to start.

For starters, I live in Boston MA and she lives in Portsmouth NH (about an hour and 15 minutes away) and has friends and family in both places.

Second, how do you determine a guest list? What I mean is, how many people are typically invited? She doesnt have a TON of friends and family.

Also, how much do people usually budget for this? Lets just base it on a per person average? And does the host usually pay 100%? Of course the mom to be doesnt pay, but do I ask people to co-host?

Call me clueless...
