Anyone else?

Hello! It's my first time over at this board.  Have any of you been in a similar situation? Any advice?

My baby had been measuring in the 95th % my whole pregnancy. I'll be 38 weeks this Friday and he is weighting around 9lb9oz. I know the scans can be 10-15% off in either direction. I was tested 3 times for gestational diabetes but luckily all tests were negative. My husband was a big baby and my sister had two big babies. 

 Anyway,  today the doctor said because of his size I have 3 options. I can have an induced labor early next week, I can have a scheduled c section in 2weeks or I can wait and see what happens naturally. Of course there are no guarantees with the induction that I won't need a c section. I'm living in Australia and in general c sections are not as common as in the USA.  I asked my doctor what her personal opinion was and she said she personally would have a c section. I'm really unsure as to what do. I want to what is best for baby and I.
