breast feeding and high blood sugar

**breast feeding and high blood sugar**

so here is my question that no one seems to be able to answer. My blood sugar has been running high- 200-300. My baby is almost 3 months old and I have type 1 diabetes. I had excellent control while pregnant but after I had the baby all that flew out the door. I really am trying to get these numbers down but with only sleeping 2-3 hours at a time and a mixed up schedule and all the demands of motherhood it's hard to keep up. My question that none of my Dr.s can answer is, will my high blood sugar spill extra sugar into my milk and hurt my baby? Everyone seems to act like tthis question has never been asked before but it seems logical that extra sugar in the blood would make extra sugar in the milk.

any insight? I feel guilty every time I feed my baby and am wondering if I am hurting her.
