Road Trip! What items a must?

My family has decided to take a rather long road trip this summer.  We are going to the beach and our drive will be about 14 hours.  I'm starting to set items aside that I think I should pack or things I know we'll need.  However, it never fails....I always seem to forget something and would love your help!  Please share items that you've forgotten in the past or items you think is a must pack!
