headband making activity

I am throwing my SIL a baby shower and I love the idea of doing a headband making station.  Have you all seen those?  It is a little costly though, so before I commit to it, I wanted to see if anybody has had any experience with them.  Was it fun? Did they turn out cute?  Any tips?
