NBSR - Baptism + MTBP

I'm wondering if this is a big no in terms of etiquette. It seems to be the norm around here to have a party after Baptism. However, my husband is being 'funny' about it because his family isn't Catholic (mine is, and DD will be raised Catholic) and he feels odd inviting them to the Baptism. I think he's just uncomfortable with religious 'stuff' in general. Tongue Tied

So I was thinking we could have a 'meet the baby' party after the Baptism, instead. DD will be almost 4 months, but she hasn't met everyone in the family yet (on his side) and we haven't really had any friends over to visit. We could throw a BBQ, and then let folks know they can attend the Baptism or to please just show up after for the party. I think it would make DH more comfortable in inviting everyone. Is that ok to do? If so, how would I word that on the invites?
