TMI nipple question. Help?

This is going to sound and be kind of gross but I don't know what else to do and google kind of sucks so I'm coming here.. I have this dry weird yellowy stuff on my nipple. Right over the hole. I think it's colostrum. I tried taking a hot shower to get it off. Tried putting a warm wash cloth over it. I can't really pick at it because my nipples are EXTREMELY sensitive. Ever since becoming pregnant my nipples pretty much cannot be touched without me freaking out. But I'm biting the bullet by kind of putting on the warm wash cloth on it. But that's not working either. Does anyone have any suggestions? Or should I just leave it? Is it bad? Can it harm me if I leave it on there?

First time mom to be here so this is all so new and so weird to me. I've never had my nips do such weird things. Lol
