Got my GD Diet yesterday

So I finally met with the GD counselor. They do a group meeting so there were four other GD moms in there too. I feel like my carbs are higher than what I've seen for others on here. I had my 30 week appt with my OB after and he basically said that when I come back in two weeks, if my numbers don't appear to be well managed, he'll recommend insulin. Really that is the last thing I want to do, and now I'm stressed that I need to have everything in line ASAP or else I'll be put on insulin.

I asked the GD counselor about tips to get my fasting number lower (I've been testing on my own the past week and that is the number that I cant seem to control) and she really didnt give me any tips. I felt like any question that was out of her planned speech threw her for a loop and she deferred to my OB. But then the OB said that the GD counselor knows diets better so I should go to her for help. WTF?

Anyway, here is my plan -

B: 3 Carbs, 1 Pro, 1 Fat

S: 1 Carb, 1 Pro

L: 3 Carbs, 3 Pro, 1 Fat

S: 1 Carb (fruit), 1 Fat

D: 4 Carb, 3 Pro, 1 Fat

S: 1 Carb, 1 Pro
