No invitation?

My MIL and SIL told me a while ago that they are throwing me a shower on June 15th.  I said thank you and I haven't had anything to do with the planning or anything.  Occasionally MIL will tell me things are going well with the planning and that they are excited.  Well we are 3 weeks until the shower date and they still haven't sent any invitations.  Is it just me, or is this a little late?

My MIL suffers from chronic disorganization.  She has the best intentions but often has a difficult time seeing things through to completion.  I'm not going to say anything to her, but I fear she is going to put work into a shower that no one comes to because she forgets to send the invitations or puts it off until last minute.  Any thoughts?
