Beta Strep Test

Well, I'll be 35 weeks monday and the following week I have to get the beta strep test. A few people who've had babies have told me they used clamps during it and that scares me i don't trust clamps it just doesn't seem safe. It's making me very nervous and really afraid I don't want anything bad to happen..... I just want to know if it is safe.
