People trying to tell us how to do things...(opinions please?)

So between my husbands mom and my grandmothers, I feel like they are trying to tell us how to do EVERYTHING. It's annoying to me sometimes and my husband tells me to chill sometimes because I get SO mad, should I take it as advice or them pushing their ways of raising a child on us? (because that's what it feels like!?)
