Adding to registry?

My friends and family have been very generous by offering to throw me showers.  I will have 3 total: one at work, one for my side of the family, and one for DH's side of the family.

The work shower is this week and I have noticed that many of the inexpensive items are being purchased off of my registry.  Should I add more items in that price range for the other two showers so that guests have options to choose from?  Or should I leave the registry as it is? 

I purposely tried to keep a balance of price ranges while registering for things that we really need.  Is it rude to just leave what I have even if the price ranges that are left are a little higher?
