BTDT moms- wash and ready which size clothing?

Hello- I am sorting through all the MANY clothes we have received as gifts and trying to decide which ones to temporarily store in totes and which ones to wash and put in the bay's dresser.  We have no closet and limited storage (like 6 small drawers) for clothing. I was going to wash and prep all the newborn and and 0-3 months clothing.  Should I also do the 3-6 months?  What did your child wear the month or two after being born? (I know every baby is a different size, just trying to get a general idea.)
