Painful baby movement / bruised on the inside?

I woke yesterday with bad pain down the front right side of my uterus...I thought I might have pulled a muscle the previous night.  Anyway, I had an OB appointment yesterday and she had a good feel around and told me she thought that the baby had kicked me very hard and bruised me on the inside.  A day later and it is still extremely painful, especially when the baby moves in that area or if I move a certain way.  Has anyone else experienced this?  I feel a little worried.  I keep telling myself that if I had done something really bad I would have bleeding or reduced baby movement, etc, not to mention my doctor wasn't the least bit concerned...  Just hope the pain goes away soon!
