Low Platlets, being sent to a hematologist

I'm freaking out a little bit... anyone else had this happen?  They said when my glucose results came back my glucose was fine but my platelets were a little low.  They checked again this past Tuesday at my appointment.  She called today to say they had dropped a little and not to freak out b/c it's fairly common with pregnancy but that they were going to make an appointment for me to see a hematologist.  Of course, I am freaked out and just wondering if this has happened to anyone else??
