Advice needed re: Thank you note

Hi Everyone,

I usually lurk, but need some advice.

I'm in the process of writing out and mailing Thank You notes for two separate showers (one thrown by MIL for her family and one DH and I's Best Friends had for our friend family).  I 'thought'  I had written out all of the notes for MIL's family, but just came across an aunt I missed.

The problem is that I can't find my list.  I'm hoping upon all hopes that I left it at work, but I can't remember.  I am so embarrassed and writing a nondescript thank you note is inexcusable (in my mind).

What is the best course of action?
