should I even have a babyshower?

Its my first baby and im so excited so I want everything that comes with pregnancy. But my parents are in no position money wise to go grocery shopping let alone throw a shower.

But also my MIL keeps pushing the shower onto other people. She has like 30 grand kids so she isnt really involved with my pregnancy. No even offering.

I honestly have no close friends. or friends in general due to the fact that I cant trust people easily.

So pretty much no one is offering to throw me a shower or even help. But everyone asks if they are invited. Should I just throw my own or not even have one. I dont wanna ask for one so im finding myself in a rut. And running out of time.
