positioning & c-section

For those of you who have had a c-section because of baby's position - at what point did your doctor decide to go ahead and schedule your c-section? Or did he wait until you went into labor to decide?

I have an appointment today and I'm going to ask, but I was just curious. I'm fairly certain he's transverse and sunny side up at 37 weeks.
