sibling gift

When DD was born, we bought DS his own baby doll to name and take care of.  He played with it for a few days, but otherwise hasn't given it much attention.  Now that his sister is into dolls, it's in her collection  DS is 5 1/2 and DD 2 1/2 when baby arrives in seven weeks. 

 On one hand, they certainly do NOT need any more toys.   On the other, I want them to pick out something for baby as a gift - probably a blanket or something like that.  Nothing huge.  

 Should I even bother? I know it's not necessary.  If so, any ideas for a gift?
