Antibiotics during pregnancy??

I am 36 weeks pregnant and very irrritable and uncomfortable! It figures I would have one more discomfort added....arrr!

3 Days ago my cat got startled and decided to take off running as she used my big toe to push off of for good leverage LOL.... her claw went inbetween my big toe nail and skin. It sent a chilling & lingering pain instantly! I immediately applied peroxide and have been cleaning the area very often throughout the day. 

It is infected. It hurts to touch it even hurts to look at! Ha! My obgyn wants me to go to my reg doc so he can look at it and perhaps prescribe an antibiotic.

My question is.... is there a way to get it healed (besides trying peroxide and neosporine)  without seeing a doc and getting meds.... and if not, I want to be aware of what antibiotic is ok for me while pregnant. My obgyn's nurse was not able to help with the additional questions.

Any info/advice would be great!
