My shower hostess has asked me to start getting my invitation list together for her and as I do not have addresses on hand for everyone I was wondering if it would be acceptable to post on facebook that "planning for my shower has begun and if anyone would like to be invited please send me your address so I can make sure you're on the list."

Is that poor etiquette?  I'll admit I'm not super aware of everything proper and improper when it comes to the shower, and I'm pretty much just letting my hostess do what she wants anyway.  But for addresses, is this acceptable? I've also had a lot of less close friends/family that I didn't necessarily plan to invite specifically ask to be included already (and I'm happy to oblige!)
