Breathless while side-sleeping?

Has anyone experienced breathlessness while sleeping on either their right or left side? It seems this just started this week (34 weeks) and I am left to sleep propped up on my back with a ton of pillows because both sides cause me to feel like I can't breathe. I can sleep for a short period propped up on pillows, but then am up for the rest of the night. It is so frustrating and I am not sleeping more than an hour or two each night.
