Shower from 7 to 8:30 pm Saturday night?
On the invite "desserts will be served."
My first inclination was that it was good they weren't hosting during a peak meal time if they only planned to serve desserts, but then it seemed kind of like "come give presents and leave."
Granted, who wants to stay at any shower for an entire day but an hour and a half is really really short.
It's a bridal shower btw. I think I'm hypercritical because this same "hostess" sent out an evite to 80 guests for her baby's 1st birthday party...a milk and cookies party. Her mom brought gallons of milk. The cookies were solicited as potluck items....
I'm sending a small gift but leaving it at that.
