Maternity photo shoot?

Is anyone doing one of these? I was planning to do one the morning of my shower (figured I'd get my hair done once and kill two birds with one stone). But ended up rescheduling the shoot because I was so sick this past week. Just saw photos from the shower and OMG I look awful. My face is so fat. Thinking maternity photo shoot may be a bad idea for me. I've gained about 36 pounds so far and just look like a different person. Should I embrace all of this extra weight and go for it anyway or back away from the camera before my self esteem gets even lower?
