Gestational Diabetes?

I'm 29W, and i had my glucose screening test done yesterday my results were a little high so i have to go back in on monday or tuesday for the glucose tolerance test (yuck)...pretty much everyone on my mom's side of the family has diabetes and i was a little over-weight when i got pregnant...which i know can contribute to gestational diabetes. To be honest i could have had diabetes issues before i got pregnant but because i would have never actually known.

I've read about all the things that can go wrong because of gestational diabetes...and I was wondering if i'm diagnosed with gestational diabetes will they do any tests or anything to see how it's affected DS, to make sure that he's ok? what else can/will they do?
