Lately, I've been feeling a "ripping" sensation in the middle of my belly when I bend or twist a certain way, and it hurts for a couple days after. And at the same time my belly feels like an over-stretched rubber band, all the time. So found out today at my Dr's appt what the "ripping" sensation is. Apparently it's normal for a woman's stomach muscles to separate during pregnancy and go back to normal post-partum, and when a woman has a large baby it can cause these muscles to stretch apart even farther, which can cause this "ripping" pain and discomfort. Known as Diastasis Recti.
Oh, and the dr estimates my baby is already at 9lbs (Disclaimer: Yes I know that this is just a guess)
