Remember my post on the chicken salad shower?

Grandmom-to-be and co-host called me this morning. The MTB is having a emergency c/sec as I write this; shower was meant to be tomorrow. Many of the guests from both families are traveling a couple hours and bringing food.

GMTB is thinking of going forward with the shower and asking the new dad to open since the venue is paid for. She seems sort of stuck on this pint, but not thinking clearly. Converting to a sip'n'see later, with a preemie, doesn't sound ideal. Plus, there were items for which they registered and were purchased- like their infant car seat- sitting in other people's homes.

Any ideas?
