BF vs. Pumping

This is something I will be discussing with my doctor but I was curious what people expierenced personally. I'm not sure if breastfeeding is for me but I would like my baby to have the benefits of breast milk. Is there anyone that has exclusively pumped? Is it more time consuming than actually just BF? When did you switch to formula? TIA
