So I am 37 weeks and 4 days. On my appointment Monday I was 1 centimeter dilated and 50% effaced(which I know doesn't mean much). I've had contractions since this morning when one woke up. They started out about 10 minutes apart and they have progressed to 2 minutes apart. They have been that close for about 2 hours now. They are lasting a minute long. Based on what my doctor told me Its time to call, so I did and am waiting on a call back now. The only thing is that they aren't super painful. Just uncomfortable. I guess what I'm getting at is how long does it normally take for contractions to progress to the painful ones you always hear about? What are you guys experiences?
