Dialation

Hey ladies!  I am 36 weeks 5 days and I had an internal today.  I have been having insane amounts of pelvic pain and pressure for the past week or so and I let the doctor know that so she decided to check.  I am thinned out and the baby is low but I have not dialated at all.  I know I am not even term yet and dont expect to go early, I was just wondering how long it took some of you to go from no dialation to either labor or starting to make some kind of progress.  Just curious as I can't seem to recall how long it took for me to make progress with my daughter.  Thanks mamas!
