Bleeding after internal?

April 2013 in 3rd Trimester

I had my first internal exam yesterday and I bleed a little all day...nothing major. This morning I have a very dark, thick discharge (bloody looking but very dark). I thought the bleeding would be over by now. Is this normal? Just wondering. Thanks.
