Hi bumpies,
I've been really good about taking my prenatal vitamin, that's not a problem. I also take a DHA supplement. My doctor suggested I take Tums for calcium (as my prenatal only has some 125 mg of calcium). Here's the thing, I HATE the chalky texture and taste of them!! So I only chew them a couple of times a week. Ugh!
Anyone else hate Tums too? Are there any alternatives? I even asked my pharmacist and he said that Tums are the most recommended over actual calcium supplements.
I worry about getting the right nutrition for my baby because my diet right now isn't laced with fruits and vegetables (they just don't sound good at all! Plus, I was never a big fruit/vegetable person pre-preggo) and I don't like milk all that much. I don't want to live with the guilt of my child not having a healthy body because of what I ate during pregnancy. But I do take my prenatal vitamin without fail!
Anyone live off a very select group of foods and still have a healthy baby?
