extra fluid seen during ultrasound?

has anyone been told they have extra fluid around the baby when seen thru ultrasound? i am 36 weeks tomorrow and they told me i have that and am going to see a specialist for advanced ultrasound to check things out. i was too confused to know which questions to ask. Any one have this happen and do you know what it means?
