Increased pelvic pain

So I'm 6 days from my due date, and suddenly today I'm having greatly increased pelvic pain. I've had pelvic pain/pressure on and off throughout the last several weeks, but there have been several times today where it's actually causing me to have trouble walking normally, especially going down stairs.  I know this is normal, but what I'm wondering is if it's a sign that labor is coming soon.  Or, is it just something new I'll be dealing with for the next week (or more) until baby decides to make her appearance?

 Anyone else experience something similar, and if so, did it lead to labor soon?
