Measuring big- ultrasound scheduled 32 weeks

Hi ladies- first time mom here...

Baby has been measuring big the past month. She is measuring large enough that doctor scheduled an ultrasound. Is this common? Should I think of this as a bonus time I get to see her? Kind of nervous, but also happy we get to see her one last time. 

If she is measuring big when we see her, what would they do?
