Menstrual Cramping & Back Pain

March 2013 in 3rd Trimester

I'm currently 36 weeks, FTM and have been having what feels like menstrual cramps and severe back pain off and on for a week. Went to L&D several days ago because I thought the pain was leading into labor and they ended up sending me home but couldn't really explain what the reason for the pain was. Has anyone else had this?
