Iron supplements/ Floradix

I'm looking for some opinions about iron supplements. My mw phoned the other day to let me know I have very low iron and I have been cut off off dairy for a while to help with that. She also suggested I try the Floradix (liquid) iron supplement. Has anyone else used this product and did it taste as horrible as it sounds, or is there another supplement you liked.
