Military Tricare and Weekly Appointments

My husband is active duty military and I'm leaving my job after next week so I switched my healthcare from Kaiser Permanente after the first 20 weeks of my pregnancy to Tricare Prime and will be delivering at Balboa Naval Hospital (my regular appointments are at NTC). I've been going to regulary monthly appointments up to 32 weeks and then they had me coming in every 2 weeks so I had to go in today and 2 weeks ago. My due date is April 5th and they have me scheduled to come in again April 3rd assuming I don't go into labor before then. However, from friends and coworkers and looking at the Bump site it seems like after week 36, appointments are weekly. My pregnancy has been normal and healthy and I am not considered high risk, but I am surprised that at 36 weeks and 5 days they aren't asking me to come in again until two days before my due date. Has anyone else (especially military wives) experienced this (not being scheduled for weekly appointments closer to delivery)?
