How do I get rid of a cold?

Yesterday, I thought I may be getting a cold.  Pollen is thick outside right now so I wasn't sure if it was just allergies.  But I woke up this morning with a sore throat, a runny nose, stopped up/achy ears and a headache.  So now I'm pretty sure its a cold.  I see my OB tomorrow and hopefully they can hook me up. But for now whats a good medicine or natural remedy to take to get rid of this junk?
