Are We Wrong?

My husband and I are planning to have baby sleep in their own room right from the start. 

We want to set the routine from the beginning, and I don't mind getting up through the night to feed. I would rather my husband got a good sleep too as he has to go out to work and his job is pretty full on.

We will have a video monitor, particularly since we are upstairs and and baby will be downstairs, but I see so many people saying they had/will have baby in their room and wonder what the thinking is for this versus baby in their own room?
