Going with a GP-- hurray!

I just found out that I got in with the GP I wanted. He is very experienced and has amazing reviews from everyone I have talked to. He is also very natural birth friendly.

In my province of Canada, there are no midwives, but a GP is the next best option. In my opinion, much better than an OB for a low risk pregnancy. You see the same GP throughout your pregnancy (mine is not my own family doc since she doesnt deliver babies, but the one I got in with is one of the 4-5 in my city that do). Then at 36 weeks you meet all 4 of them and see them all every week till you deliver. Then one of them will be on call when you deliver. Much better than having any random OB or OB resident who is kicking around at the hospital when you go in and you've never met before.

So excited! DD was delivered by a GP under the same system and it was a great experience.
